Heb 10:32-39

Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

"For in just a little while,

the Coming One will come and not delay.

And my righteous ones will live by faith.

But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away."

But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

what is it about night that always brings with it a sense of sorrow?
is it possible to heal a lugubrious heart?
so laden and frail

where are you?

OMG! I dreamt of my class for 3 nights in a row.
The girls were screaming loudly in my dream.
So loudly it woke me up from my sleep!
What a nightmare~

"if you have no fear, what will you do?"
I posted this on facebook a couple of days ago and I was entertained and intrigued by replies from my friends and students. However one particular reply struck me. It was from Daryl Lovestosleep. He put it plainly,

Find fear

How true it is. While fear cripples and prevents people from going to the extremes, is it not true that fear also pushes people to challenge boundaries? Think about it, without fear, where is the 'kick' for bungee jumping and the challenge in sky diving. Just as emotions swing from one end to another, fear is capable of switching into other emotions such as faith. Without fear, there are no challenges. Without fear, all things will almost become mundane immediately.

So if there is no fear, are we still human?

Sitting through about 15 teacher-parents meetings today made me realize the need to increase myself. I need more wisdom to lead, patience to guide and capacity to love.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
